In my case it was a power issue. All other functions of this docking station work fine, i.e. The Ethernet port, the USB 3.0 ports, the VGA port.

These work as intended, however the laptop gets no power from the docking station and is working off it's battery. The technician stated that my issue may probably be sent to the Engineer Division at Dell. I was the FIRST user to report this issue and the technician agreed that this is an issue that needs to be addressed. Also, while I had the Tech on the phone I took my other laptop, a Dell Lattitute E5550 running Windows 10 Pro as well, and placed it on the docking station, (after confirming with the Tech that this docking station is also compatible with this laptop.) I recieved an error message stating that the laptop wasn't recognized either, thus further confirming it was in deed a Windows 10 compatibility issue.
