I had trouble using AnkhSVN with Visual Studio 2012 and TortoiseSVN 1.7. I was using AnkhSVN 2.5.x since that was the latest available. Whenever I opened my solution it would warn me about upgrading my working copy of the solution files. When I attempted to do so then TortoiseSVN would tell me that it couldn’t. Very frustrating. If you are using TortoiseSVN 1.8.x then you must use AnkhSVN 2.5.x.
Since I was already using both the tools and had the wrong versions this is what I had to do to straighten it out. I needed to continue using TortoiseSVN 1.7 in order to remain compatible with my team members and other projects. So that meant using only AnkhSVN 2.4.x • Close VS altogether.
• Uninstall AnkhSVN 2. Ridgid Propress Tool Calibration Form more. 5.x through the Control Panel ->Programs and Features. • Make sure that everything you require is already in the SVN repo. Completely remove the directory containing my project files. This also deletes the hidden.svn directory. • Install AnkhSVN 2.4.x.
• Using TortoiseSVN 1.7 right click on my root folder and go to the repo browser. Checkout the set of files into my working directory. • Open the solution file again and check that no warning message is showing.
